Job Description
As a Graphic Designer, you will collaborate with internal teams to enhance the quality, coherence, and impact of communication materials while providing technical guidance to field delegations.
Accountabilities & functional responsibilities
- Support the production of publications, promotional materials and printed assets for communication work in the field;
- Design and layout print publications, reports and campaign materials in line with the corporate visual identity and industry graphic standards;
- Design digital publications (digipubs), PDFs and print templates, as required;
- Create ad-hoc design assets for presentations and internal communication materials;
- Liaise with internal clients in the field to identify design needs (based on Field Production Book plans), advise on appropriate formats, prepare clear briefs and propose a coherent production agenda;
- Identify creative opportunities within print production to strengthen the impact of communication initiatives at regional and field level;
- Act as a focal point to ensure the appropriate implementation of ICRC’s visual identity to print production material;
- Coach and onboard production officers in delegations on print production processes, including the application of visual identity guidelines;
- Design and adapt graphic assets for digital platforms, including websites, social media, newsletters, online campaigns, and audiovisual products, ensuring consistent application of the corporate visual identity;
- Adapt print-based designs for digital and audiovisual use, ensuring technical suitability and visual coherence across formats and channels;
- Work closely with Audiovisual producer and digital colleagues to anticipate design needs at the planning stage and integrate design input early in the production process;
- Coordinate priorities and timelines for Audiovisual producer and digital design requests, ensuring timely delivery of assets.
Professional experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in multimedia/graphic design, visual communication, or a related field. A professional diploma in digital/print graphic design/visual communication is also acceptable;
- Minimum 5–7 years of professional work experience in a similar field (e.g.in graphic design, with a focus on creating materials for print, digital platforms, and audiovisual formats, etc);
- Advanced mastery of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop;
- Strong working knowledge of After Effects and familiarity with video workflows (Final Cut or Premiere Pro);
- Proven experience designing for print, digital and audiovisual formats, including social media and web;
- Proven experience in applying corporate visual identity across the board;
- Fluent command of English, French and other additional languages an asset.
