Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
- To support the banks processes in a centralized manner with a high degree of efficiency and control and handle customer transactions to maintain customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify Process Improvement or gaps internally that impact account opening
- Handle clients email/phone call interactions of maintenance nature by retaining a thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures
- Increase customer and partner satisfaction through excellent communication and followup
- Ensure all requests are processed within the agreed service level agreement
- Review account opening documents and perform assurance of accounts opened in the system
- Posting of incoming funds ensuring they have been posted to the beneficiaries.
- Reconciling and posting payments received for Check off loan to the correct accounts in a timely manner.
- Cheque clearing of Inwards and Outwards cheque to the respective branches to the correct accounts and ensuring the clearing GL is always reconciled.
- Ordering of cheque books and atm cards monitoring and ensuring they are distributed to the respective branches immediately they are received.
- Ensuring that Bulk payments are compliant, verification of the mobile numbers, payment to the members, reconciliation and ensuring that all the commissions and charges have been posted to the correct GL.
- Monitoring and funding of mpesa float to the respective portals ensuring that there is always sufficient balance for withdrawal and posting the same to the correct GLs.
- Replenishing and repatriation of float to the respective branches ensuring they hold the minimum approved float, ensuring the mpesa GL is reconciled.
- To perform any other duty as assigned in line with the Organizational goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- Professional banking qualifications will be added advantage.
- 2 years’ work experience in a bank will be added advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to multitask.
- A fast learner
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good marketing and People management skills
- Must be self-driven; possess excellent administrative, communication and interpersonal skills, strong organization, and negotiation skills.
