WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Review and optimize the spares inventory for machines.
Efficient planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance activities.
Ensure predictive maintenance inspections and follow-ups are executed.
Continuously improve maintenance strategies based on equipment history and failure analysis.
Timely review and prioritization of incoming maintenance work orders ensuring they are accurate, detailed, and completed on time.
Track and update job progress in the ledgers and available maintenance management system.
Timely ordering and preparation of spare parts, materials and tools ahead of maintenance work.
Coordinating with engineers, suppliers and contractors for specialized jobs.
Ensure all required permits and safety documents are prepared before work starts.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports.
Monitoring maintenance KPIs - equipment downtime, maintenance backlog, work order completion rate etc.
Maintenance process recommendations and improvements to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
Safety - Utilize all appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products and equipment to ensure a safe working environment for the whole team.
Workplace Hazards – Full knowledge of the workplace and hazards within it.
Utilise appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products and equipment relevant to the task.
Environment - Reduce costs due to waste and minimise impact to health, safety and the environment through working to eliminate waste and through the correct management of waste and hazardous materials.
Quality - Ensure that all aspects of Quality within the area of responsibility are in accordance with local Quality procedures to protect and promote the brand and product.
Leadership - Promote the development of a highly effective team through strong communication, leading by example whilst keeping focused on goals and targets.

Continuous Improvement - Use performance measures to identify and prioritise losses in production area.
Apply rigorous Cost Deployment and the Zero loss concept to eliminate losses.
UMS - Knowledge and understanding of the key principles of UMS and the impact this has on the Key Performance Indicators at the site (PQSCDMI)
Must understand the critical inter-relation between all the key pillars under UMS.
Problem Solving - Has the ability to identify, prioritise and address problems using appropriate tools and techniques that eliminate recurrence.
Decision Making - Makes and implements technical decisions which can impact the plan for the week and month.
Project Management – Achieve the desired outcomes of the project in line with agreed plans using appropriate project management tools and techniques to ensure the efficient use of technical, financial and human resources.
Business Awareness - Understanding of the need to meet changing demands and the role of marketing and product innovation in growing the business and increasing the company's share.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Essential
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent
High level co-ordination and maintenance planning skills
Displays strong leadership and people management
Experience of working as part of an extended team within the manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, preventive maintenance and safety regulations.
1+ years of experience in maintenance activities in a busy manufacturing environment
