Job Description
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking. Identify and resolve discrepancies in bank transactions and statements.
- Process payments, manage petty cash, and ensure proper financial documentation.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and ledger reconciliations.
- Support in preparing and filing statutory deductions, including SHIF, NSSF, and other related taxes.
- Manage subscription, invoicing, and maintain records of tracking MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue), ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), and other SAAS KPI trackers.
- Manage accounts receivable by tracking customer payments, reconciling balances, and following up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
- Manage vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and expense claims.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards (like GAAP/IFRS), and tax regulations.
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation and ensure financial records comply with KRA and IFRS regulations.
- Support preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts and track SaaS-related operational costs and maintain a Variance Report.
- Maintaining a proper and orderly filing system of payment vouchers and other finance documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
- At least an ongoing CPA Intermediate level /ACCA is an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accountants role or similar position
- Knowledge and Familiarity of Accounting software,Expense management and Data analytic tools (ZOHO Books, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or similar Platforms)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- High integrity and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with both internal team members, customers and suppliers.
