Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled professionals with at least eight years of relevant experience to support our work in health systems, strengthening market access, policy influencing, stakeholder engagement innovation, financing, and investments in health. Africa Health Business (AHB) is seeking applications from experienced consultants with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Health Systems Strengthening - Workforce planning and development, optimization of primary and community healthcare delivery, supply chain and logistics management, quality improvement initiatives, and innovative health financing models, including universal health coverage (UHC), insurance mechanisms, and investment advisory.
  • Digital Health and Innovation - Digital transformation strategies, telemedicine, health informatics, data systems, e-learning platforms, and market intelligence to support the adoption and scale-up of technology-driven health solutions.
  • Public-Private Partnerships- Structuring and implementing PPPs and providing transaction advisory to drive sustainable impact across health ecosystems.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) - Design and implementation of MEL frameworks, impact assessments, evidence generation, and application of data-driven insights to inform policy, programming, and investment decisions.
  • Policy, Advocacy, and Stakeholder Engagement - Policy analysis and advisory, and development of advocacy strategies.
  • Regulatory, Market Access, and Local Manufacturing - Support for local and regional manufacturing ecosystems, including regulatory compliance, product registration, market access strategies, and technical advisory for pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and medical devices.
  • Disease Area Specialties - Technical expertise across priority health areas, including HIV, TB, malaria, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH), immunization, oncology, nutrition, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), eye health, and other emerging health priorities.
  • Consultants in the AHB pool may contribute to assignments across reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH); immunization; HIV, TB and malaria programs; nutrition; digital health; health financing; supply chain and pharmaceutical systems; laboratory and diagnostics strengthening; monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL); and investment due diligence.
