Responsibilities
Facilitate in establishing of EHS requirements at the workplace.
Ensure implementation of the EHS management system and norms.
Prepare and update project HSE/CESMP plans.
Prepare EHS risk assessments/EIA and safe work methods.
Identify training needs, design, and impart EHS training for all stakeholders.
Identify and update legal EHS requirements.
Monitor and evaluate compliance with legal requirements at prescribed frequencies.
Conduct periodical site EHS inspections and report findings for corrective action.
Identify EHS resources and ensure sufficient stock of PPEs and other EHS items.
Act as a catalyst for project EHS committee activities.
Review and appraise site EHS performance and facilitate improvement.
Ensure proactive performance monitoring through EHS key performance indicators.
Organize campaigns, competitions, and special programs to promote EHS at the workplace.
Conduct incident investigations, analyze trends, and initiate corrective actions.
Establish, implement, and maintain emergency preparedness and response procedures.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Certifications: Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in EHS management within construction or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local safety/environmental legislation.
