About the Role
Are you a driven sales professional with leadership experience? We are seeking a Team Leader for our Life Sales unit in Nakuru. In this key role, you’ll lead a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets, drive productivity, and ensure compliance with company standards. Key Responsibilities
Drive Sales Performance: Meet and exceed new business sales (NP) and premium (GWP) targets for both new and renewal clients.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor Life Sales Representatives to build a high-performing unit.
Motivation & Supervision: Guide, motivate, and support your team to consistently achieve individual and group sales goals.
Sales Quality: Ensure all sales are customer-focused, legally compliant, and free from mis-selling.
Compliance: Uphold company policies and all relevant regulations, including Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) requirements.
Retention: Support team members in reaching their personal and professional goals, helping to retain top talent.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate team KPIs monthly and quarterly; provide actionable feedback and recommendations.
Policy Implementation: Carry out instructions from authorized company representatives promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field. A sales-related diploma is an added advantage.
Certification: Valid IRA License (ECOP/2025 preferred).
Experience: Minimum 2 years in sales (insurance experience is a plus).
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities. Proven track record in achieving sales targets and building effective teams.
