Job Description

Role Purpose

  • The IFRS17 Integrations Analyst will be responsible for the implementation and integration of IFRS 17 standards within our financial systems and processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing integration requirements, and ensuring seamless integration of financial data and reporting systems in compliance with IFRS 17 regulations.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic Functions

  • Collaborate with finance, actuarial, and IT teams to gather and analyse business and integration requirements for IFRS 17 compliance & reporting.
  • Detailed analysis, design and documentation of integration requirements.
  • Configured and customize financial software applications to meet integration needs.
  • Successful system integrations meeting IFRS 17 requirements
  • Ensure the integration design aligns with IFRS 17 standards and company policies.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to make recommendations for strategic enhancements.
  • Support integrations within the Enterprise Service Bus.

Operational Functions

  • Assist in the selection and implementation of integration software solutions.
  • Configure the IFRS 17 integrations to meet business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Develop test plans and conduct system testing to ensure the solution meets the specified requirements.
  • Work with data management teams to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data used in IFRS 17 reporting.
  • Define data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for IFRS 17 calculations and reporting.
  • Ensure data consistency and reconciliation between the IFRS 17 system and other financial systems.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the IFRS 17 system, including troubleshooting issues and implementing system integration enhancements.
  • Monitor integration pipelines performance and ensure the timely production of IFRS 17 reports.
  • Develop and Support Integrations running in the Enterprise Service Bus.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users.

Corporate Governance

  • Ensure timely data flow to IFRS 17 System & other related systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to management.
  • Stay updated on changes in IFRS 17 standards and ensure the system reflects these changes.
  • People and Culture
  • Promoting Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with finance, actuarial, and IT teams to align on IFRS 17 goals, fostering a culture of cooperation and shared success.
  • Enhancing Capability through Training: Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users, empowering staff with the knowledge to leverage IFRS 17 integrations.
  • Encouraging Accountability: Ensure high standards of data accuracy and compliance, reinforcing a culture of responsibility and trust within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.

Relevant Experience

  • Experience in system analysis, design, integration and implementation, preferably within the finance, baking or insurance sector.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS 17 standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, ETL tools).
  • Experience with REST, Soap and Graph technologies.
  • Experience in Object Oriented Programming Languages such as Java, Python.
  • Experience with Application Gateways such as Azure, WS02, etc.
  • Experience in working with Enterprise Service Bus Software.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., Oracle) is desirable.
