Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Workplace safety monitoring and conducting regular safety trainings.
- Ensure emergency preparedness such as fire and hazard emergencies. Make sure that all safety and fire equipment are in good condition and where they are meant to be at all times.
- Check the readiness and/or preparedness of fire prevention/protection systems and organize and conduct fire drills/simulations. Conduct fire safety checks regularly. 4) Ensure workplace safety procedures, regulations and guidelines are put in place, made clear to employees, adhered to and implement appropriate disciplinary action to violators within the company.
- Assist in investigation of incidents and injuries and make follow ups on compensation with authorities when they occur (Dosh and insurance companies).
- Create and implement health and safety policies in accordance to the latest legistration and advice management on environmental, health and safety issues. 7) Ensure employees are trained on safety protocols and procedures by coordinating safety-training programs.
- Any other duties assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety or equivalent to this position.
- More than 4 years' experience in a supervisory role of safety management with relevant certification in OSH. Nebosh certification will be an added advantage.
- Preferably have worked in a manufacturing/production company.

- Fluent in both written and spoken English. Good communication, interpersonal skills and team work.
- Good analytical skills and proficient in computer skills. Good decision-making skills. -High level of integrity and professionalism.

- Flexible work schedule (Monday to Saturdays).
