Job Description

Gross Salary: ksh 40k – 45k

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and strengthening client relationships in the security services sector. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, contract negotiation, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure service excellence.

Sales Strategy and Goal Achievement:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed business development targets and sales quotas.
  • Tracking sales performance, reporting on sales activity, and adjusting strategies to meet business goals.
  • Identifying cross-selling or upselling opportunities within existing accounts.

Market Positioning and Competitor Analysis:

  • Monitoring competitors’ offerings and keeping up with industry developments to ensure the company stays competitive.
  • Suggesting and contributing to improvements in service offerings based on market analysis.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Working closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials or campaigns to attract new business.
  • Collaborating with security experts or technical teams to understand service capabilities and ensure that clients’ needs are met.

Contract Management:

  • Negotiating contracts and terms with clients, ensuring the security company delivers the best possible value while protecting business interests.
  • Reviewing and finalizing contracts, coordinating with the legal team as needed.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintaining accurate records of sales leads, meetings, and contracts.
  • Providing regular reports to senior management on sales performance, client feedback, and any issues affecting business development efforts.

Brand Representation:

  • Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and meetings, acting as the brand ambassador.
  • Building the company’s reputation as a trusted provider of security services.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement:

  • Gathering feedback from clients and prospects to help improve products, services, and overall customer experience.
  • Continuously seeking ways to innovate and improve the company’s offerings in line with market demands
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the security services industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities.
  • Experience in contract management and sales reporting.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent networking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability and willingness to stay updated on industry trends.
