Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Programme Design & Strategy

  • Lead the design and development of the event’s overall programme, ensuring alignment with the goals and vision of Africa E-Mobility Week 2025.
  • Curate engaging and relevant content for both the AEW Webinar
  • Series and the AEW Conference, ensuring a balanced and dynamic schedule of sessions.
  • Define key programme themes, topics, and tracks that reflect current trends and challenges in the e-mobility and sustainability sectors across Africa.
  • Speaker & Panel Curation
  • Identify and secure high-level speakers, thought leaders, and industry experts for keynotes, panels, and workshops.
  • Coordinate with speakers talign their sessions with the event’s key themes, ensuring content is engaging, valuable, and actionable.
  • Build diverse panels that encourage broad representation across various sectors within the e-mobility space (manufacturers, policymakers, investors, technology providers, etc.).

Workshop & Session Management

  • Oversee the development of interactive workshops, breakout sessions, and technical demonstrations, ensuring they meet the needs of different attendee groups.
  • Work with speakers and facilitators tdevelop session materials, agendas, and resources that enhance the learning experience.
  • Manage session timings and ensure smooth transitions between speakers, panels, and workshops tmaintain a seamless flow throughout the event.

Content Quality & Relevance

  • Ensure all content is aligned with Africa E-Mobility Week’s mission to promote sustainable, innovative, and scalable e-mobility solutions for the African continent.
  • Continuously assess industry trends and emerging topics tensure the programme remains cutting-edge and relevant.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team tdevelop content that drives attendee engagement, generates interest, and promotes registration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Chief Convenor tidentify sponsors, exhibitors, and partners for integrated programming, such as sponsored sessions or partner-led workshops.
  • Foster strong relationships with key industry players and thought leaders televate the conference's stature and ensure participation from influential stakeholders.

Logistical Oversight

  • Collaborate with the event operations team tmanage logistical aspects related tcontent delivery, including AV setup, virtual platforms, speaker coordination, and session rehearsals.
  • Ensure that all content is delivered on schedule and in the highest quality, whether in-person or virtually, and adapt as needed based on changing circumstances.
  • Budget & Resource Management
  • Help manage the programme budget, ensuring that all content and speaker arrangements are within scope and budget.
  • Coordinate with vendors, agencies, or freelancers (if necessary) to support content creation, presentation design, and other deliverables.

Key Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content strategy, programme management, or event planning, ideally within the e-mobility, sustainability, or tech sectors.
  • Proven experience curating and managing large-scale conferences, webinars, and events with multiple stakeholders and speakers.
  • A deep understanding of the African e-mobility landscape, trends, challenges, and opportunities.
