Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing monthly MIS reports that summarize the financial performance, cash flow, and key operational metrics.
- Assist in recording and maintaining Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) for trading transactions.
- Assist in resolve audit queries and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Assist in the annual statutory auditing process by providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly tax returns, including VAT, and other statutory returns as required.
- Collaborate with different departments to gather data for the reports.
- Ensure all purchases and inventory movements are accurately captured in the accounting system.
- Ensure that all accounting entries are accurate, timely, and comply with accounting standards and company policies.
- Ensure that all deadlines for statutory filings are met and compliance is maintained.
- Ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time, with all statutory deductions correctly accounted for.
- Identify discrepancies and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve them promptly.
- Pass accounting entries in Tally software for various transactions related to sugar, trading, and alcohol businesses.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the cash and bank accounts are accurately reflected in the financial system.
- Processing monthly payroll, including calculating salaries, deductions, and preparing payslips.
- Provide additional support to the finance and accounting team as needed.
- Provide assistance in resolving any KRA related issues or challenges.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and achievement of department goals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting
- CPA/ ACCA certified
- 4+ years experience in trading activities.
- Must have experience Tally Software
