Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance in identifying annual goals
  • Monitor performance monthly and quarterly
  • Assessing the status of patients before administering physiotherapy care
  • Evaluating, monitoring and documenting care plans
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Treat patients using – electrotherapy,hydrotherapy,cardiac Rehab therapy, massage, manual therapy,exercises,Bobath,MullighanTrigger point and Maitland techniques among many treatment techniques & modalities
  • Use different techniques, operate machines/equipment and advise patients accordingly
  • Carry out patient education
  • Monitor patient satisfaction and complaints and analyze the same
  • Monitor turnaround time
  • Monitor and review process implementation.
  • Supervise staff
  • Setting goals with staff
  • Regular review of staff performance against set goals
  • Identify training needs and /or conduct CMEs
  • Compilation of daily/monthly indicators
  • Conducting performance appraisals
  • Hold daily clinical meetings
  • Audit documentation by physios
  • Review of patients’ notes documentation
  • Review case studies
  • Recording of complaints and incidents
  • Ensure the corrective and preventive actions are instituted
  • Analyzing incidences and complaints
  • Responsibility for CCPC programes and other quality initiatives
  • Any other duty may be requested by the manager or designee

Requirements

  • Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution/college a Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of five years’ professional experience in Physiotherapy with at least 2 years in supervisory position
  • Registered and valid license with Physiotherapy Council of Kenya
  • Certificate in Basic life support (BLS)
  • Must be computer literate.
  •  Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Should be proactive and be able to manage time effectively.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
