Benefits
We are building a roster of freelance 3D Visualizers to work with us on a project-by-project basis across our construction and interior design work. You will take architectural drawings, mood boards and rough concepts and turn them into photorealistic interior and exterior imagery that clients can react to, approve and buy into. Good visualisation shortens approval cycles and helps everyone — clients, designers and site teams — see the same finished space before a single wall goes up.
Role Overview
On any given project you will move between modelling, texturing, lighting and post-production, translating a designer's intent into renders that hold up under close scrutiny. Your output feeds directly into client presentations and project proposals, so it needs to communicate materials, scale and atmosphere convincingly rather than just look attractive. Work arrives on an on-demand basis, which means you will juggle several project briefs at different stages while keeping each one on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality interior and exterior renders from sketches, CAD drawings, mood boards and design specifications.
- Build and optimise 3D models that accurately reflect the intended layout, proportions and detailing of a space.
- Apply realistic materials, textures and lighting setups so finishes, surfaces and daylight conditions read true to life.
- Prepare render packages for client presentations and project proposals, including multiple viewpoints, camera angles and image formats.
- Work closely with interior designers, architects and project teams to interpret design intent and resolve ambiguities in the brief.
- Iterate on visualisations in response to client and internal feedback, delivering revised versions without losing momentum on the project timeline.
- Manage your own schedule across concurrent briefs, flagging capacity or deadline conflicts early rather than at hand-in.
- Maintain organised project files and asset libraries so models, textures and scenes can be reused or handed over cleanly.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Demonstrable professional experience in 3D visualisation and rendering, typically three or more years on commercial interior and architectural work.
- A portfolio showing both interior and exterior projects, with before-and-after or wireframe-to-final examples that demonstrate your process.
- Strong command of industry-standard software — for example 3ds Max, SketchUp, Blender, Rhino or Revit, paired with a renderer such as V-Ray, Corona or Lumion, plus Photoshop for post-production.
- Solid grasp of materials, lighting behaviour, texture mapping and spatial design principles, and the ability to translate those into convincing imagery.
- Ability to read and work from architectural drawings, floor plans and elevations.
- Track record of hitting agreed delivery deadlines and communicating clearly when scope or timing changes.
- Genuine availability to take on work on a freelance, on-demand basis, with the responsiveness that remote collaboration requires.
- A degree or diploma in architecture, interior design, 3D animation, visual effects or a related discipline is preferred; an exceptional portfolio can stand in for formal qualifications.
Why Join
- Project-based freelance engagement that fits around your existing client work rather than replacing it.
- Variety across both interior and exterior visualisation, spanning residential and commercial construction briefs.
- Direct collaboration with our designers and project teams, with clear design intent supplied rather than vague briefs.
- A steady pipeline of on-demand work for visualizers who deliver on time and communicate well.
