Just as the T1 Phone appears ready for release, Trump Mobile has been accused of insecurely storing customer data. The alleged vulnerability exposed addresses and phone numbers, raising serious Trump Mobile security concerns. The leak also reveals the actual number of T1 Phone orders—far fewer than viral figures claimed.
YouTuber Coffeezilla first reported the apparent leak on his secondary channel, voidzilla. An anonymous tipster discovered the vulnerability in the Trump Mobile website, claiming the ability to place fake orders and “scrape and search the entire pre-order database.” This exposed emails, phone numbers, and mailing addresses, though credit card details were reportedly not compromised.
Coffeezilla confirmed his own details were present in the database, as did fellow YouTuber penguinz0. This customer data vulnerability has sparked widespread concern among pre-order customers and privacy advocates.
The leak includes every order placed for the T1 Phone, providing a rare glimpse into actual demand. According to Coffeezilla, there are “roughly 10,000 unique customers with roughly 30,000 unique phone orders.” It remains unclear if all orders are for the phone itself or include Trump Mobile’s 47 Plan SIM.
This number is far below the 590,000 figure that repeatedly went viral over the past six months. The Verge had debunked that exaggerated claim back in January, and this leak confirms the discrepancy.
The Verge has reached out to Trump Mobile for comment on the Trump Mobile data leak and security concerns. As of now, no official statement has been provided. Meanwhile, the T1 Phone has still not shipped, adding to customer frustration.
