WIOCC is a capacity wholesaler and Africa’s carriers’ carrier, serving international and African telcos and ISPs with high-speed, resilient, diverse connectivity into, across, and out of Africa. It won the Best Pan-African Initiative Award at Africa Com in November 2012 for building a high-capacity African network that links more than 50,000 km of terrestrial fibre and over 40,000 km of submarine cable, with landings around the continent. That network gives carriers access to affordable, reliable, high-speed connections to and from more than 400 locations across 30 African countries, 100 cities in 29 European countries, and over 700 cities in 70 countries globally. To help carriers and ISPs address the growth of international and terrestrial links and improve resilience and performance through added diversity, WIOCC created a one-stop-shop, end-to-end managed service. This is simpler than dealing directly with multiple operators and shields customers from much of the complexity involved in delivering reliable, high-performance international connections into, out of, and within Africa.
