Operate and care for water treatment equipment, checking water quality regularly to confirm it meets required standards. By spotting problems early, carrying out routine upkeep and working safely, you help keep treatment operations reliable while protecting people and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Run water treatment equipment according to established operating procedures.
- Monitor water quality and record results to verify compliance with applicable standards.
- Recognise unusual readings or equipment performance and investigate the cause.
- Carry out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on treatment equipment.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate problems that require additional support.
- Follow safe work practices when handling equipment, materials and treatment processes.
- Take care to prevent spills, waste and other avoidable environmental impacts.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Technical training in water treatment, plumbing, electrical work or a related discipline.
- Experience in water treatment or a comparable hands-on technical role is an advantage.
- A strong commitment to safe working practices and the quality of treatment operations.
