Role Overview
As a Senior System Engineer, you will implement and support enterprise infrastructure for customer environments, diagnosing difficult issues across server, virtualization, cloud, and data-protection systems. Your work will help customers across the UAE maintain reliable IT services, with a mix of technical delivery, troubleshooting, and on-site support when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain infrastructure solutions in customer environments, and provide technical support after implementation.
- Investigate complex system, virtualization, and infrastructure faults, identify their causes, and carry out effective fixes.
- Manage VMware Cloud Foundation, Dell VxRail, and other hyperconverged infrastructure platforms.
- Administer Windows Server services, including Active Directory, DNS, DFS, Hyper-V, and Microsoft Exchange.
- Support Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and VMware Workspace ONE, as well as Citrix environments.
- Implement and troubleshoot backup and recovery solutions using platforms such as Veeam, Commvault, and NetBackup.
- Work with customer contacts and internal colleagues to coordinate technical delivery and resolve service issues.
- Visit customer locations across the UAE for implementation or support work as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least five years of experience delivering enterprise infrastructure implementations and technical support.
- Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting complex infrastructure systems.
- Strong working knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation, Dell VxRail, and hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Experience with RHEL, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DFS, Hyper-V, Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
- Familiarity with endpoint management, Citrix, enterprise servers and storage, and backup or disaster-recovery tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with customers and technical teams.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the UAE; Microsoft or VMware certifications are an advantage.
