Role Overview
This position works closely with the Commodity Warehouse Manager to keep a coffee-focused warehouse running with accuracy, discipline, and cost awareness. Day to day, you will control authorized stock movements, verify that system records match physical inventory and dispatch paperwork, and help plan storage so space and resources are used effectively. Your work protects inventory integrity, supports audit readiness, and keeps operations aligned with approved budgets, safety rules, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify WMS transactions so receipts, releases, transfers, and dispatches are posted accurately and promptly.
- Reconcile physical tallies against authorized release documents and dispatch paperwork, confirming each transaction is tied to the correct client, lot, and mark.
- Help shape warehouse layouts and storage plans that improve space utilization, product flow, and accessibility.
- Monitor daily warehouse activity for efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to approved SOPs and internal controls.
- Deputize for the Commodity Warehouse Manager when required, covering operational coordination and decisions.
- Support corrective actions from audit findings and reinforce safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across warehouse operations.
- Review inventory variance and stock aging reports, escalating concerns to the Warehouse Manager for follow-up.
- Contribute to digitization and automation efforts, and communicate operational issues and their resolutions clearly to relevant teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certificate, diploma, or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with coffee industry exposure preferred.
- Knowledge of green coffee bean handling and storage practices.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and fire regulations applicable to warehouse environments.
- Demonstrated ability to use warehouse management systems and maintain accurate inventory transaction records.
- Experience reconciling physical stock against documentation and investigating discrepancies.
- Understanding of SOP-driven operations, internal controls, and audit follow-up processes.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the capability to act as deputy when needed.
- Comfort supporting process improvement, digitization, and automation initiatives.
