Role Overview
As a waiter or waitress, you’ll guide guests through the menu, take and deliver orders accurately, and help make each visit welcoming and smooth. You’ll also keep your service area presentable and uphold the restaurant’s standards for cleanliness, personal presentation, and guest care.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the menu thoroughly so you can answer questions, suggest dishes, recommend pairings, and identify suitable opportunities to upsell.
- Welcome and assist guests throughout their visit, from seating through to payment, responding promptly to their needs.
- Take orders carefully and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and other team members.
- Keep guests informed about their orders and coordinate service to ensure a timely, seamless dining experience.
- Check in with guests and address concerns courteously to support a positive dining experience.
- Set and maintain clean, orderly tables, including polished cutlery and presentable dining areas.
- Maintain excellent personal grooming and hygiene while on duty.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in hospitality; recent hospitality graduates are encouraged to apply.
- One year of experience in a fast-paced serving role is an advantage, but not essential.
- Strong spoken English and clear communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for learning, a dependable work ethic, and readiness to contribute in a busy service environment.
- Energetic, outgoing, and resilient approach to guest service.
- High standards of personal grooming and hygiene.
