Role Overview

This is a front-of-house service role for a hospitality professional who takes genuine pride in delivering attentive, polished table service within a quality restaurant or a four- to five-star hotel setting. You'll be responsible for welcoming guests, guiding them through the menu, and ensuring every course is served correctly and on time, all while staying calm during busy service periods. Your professionalism on the floor shapes the guest's entire experience and reinforces the venue's reputation for excellent hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables, setting a positive tone for their visit.
• Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately, confirming details to avoid errors and accommodate special requests.
• Recommend dishes and drinks with confidence, using knowledge of daily specials and menu ingredients.
• Keep dining areas clean and well-presented, clearing tables promptly, resetting covers, and maintaining tidy service stations.
• Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure orders are prepared and delivered in a timely, well-sequenced manner.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns, and feedback professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and service standards at all times during food handling and table service.
• Work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, according to the service roster.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in hospitality, hotel management, or food and beverage service.
• Minimum of two years' experience working in a reputable restaurant or a four/5-star hotel service environment.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills, with a friendly yet professional demeanour.
• Positive, detail-oriented, and able to maintain composure and efficiency under pressure.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
