Role Overview
This position drives revenue growth for the company's retail healthcare insurance business, with a focus on SME and individual/family products sold through intermediaries. Day to day, the role involves hitting both new and renewal sales targets, building a network of productive intermediaries, and ensuring that agents and partners understand and can effectively sell the company's product suite. The success of this role matters because it directly expands the company's retail footprint, strengthens its intermediary channel, and feeds market intelligence back into product and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales plan that consistently achieves new and renewal revenue targets for SME and individual/family healthcare insurance products.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new intermediaries while nurturing existing agent and broker relationships to deepen distribution reach.
- Introduce the company's healthcare solutions to intermediaries and partners through product presentations, one-on-one sales meetings, and ongoing commercial support.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging customer needs to identify growth opportunities and recommend product or pricing adjustments.
- Organise and deliver training for intermediaries on product details, underwriting guidelines, claims procedures, and the company's distribution policies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and coordinate campaigns aimed at prospective customers and to create a steady stream of quality leads for intermediaries.
- Ensure premium payments are collected on time and that every sale adheres to the company's credit policy, insurance regulations, and internal compliance standards.
- Act as the primary contact for intermediary and client queries, resolving issues quickly and sharing feedback with healthcare operations to maintain high standards of service delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 2 years of insurance sales experience, specifically within healthcare insurance.
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare insurance products, including SME group schemes and individual/family plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or meaningful progress toward AIIK/ACII; a postgraduate diploma in insurance (AIIK, ACII, or CIM) is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex product information clearly.
- Proven interpersonal skills and a track record of building and sustaining long-term professional relationships.
- High self-motivation and a disciplined, results-oriented approach to meeting revenue targets.
- Strong ethical standards, integrity, and a genuine customer-focused mindset.
