Every shift involves hands-on physical work, navigating busy streets, meeting tight delivery windows, and representing our company with professionalism at each stop. Your reliability directly affects customer satisfaction and the smooth functioning of our entire logistics chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking tires, brakes, fluids, and lights to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and spotting maintenance issues before they become problems.
- Plan and follow the most efficient daily route while adapting to traffic conditions, weather, and last-minute scheduling changes.
- Load and unload goods carefully, securing items to prevent damage during transit and verifying quantities against delivery documents.
- Deliver orders to residential and commercial addresses, obtaining proof of delivery through signatures, scans, or payment collection as required.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and team members to confirm deliveries, report delays, and resolve discrepancies on the spot.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, deliveries completed, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, adhering to company standards and industry safety regulations throughout the day.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols, prioritizing the well-being of yourself, other road users, and the public while meeting demanding delivery deadlines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent level of education.
- A valid, current driving license and a clean certificate of good conduct, with no disqualifying violations on your record.
- Prior experience in delivery, route-based work, or another fast-paced environment where punctuality and consistency were essential.
- Working familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance, including the ability to check fluid levels, change a tire, and recognize mechanical warning signs.
- High level of integrity and honesty, as the role involves handling goods, sensitive customer information, and possible payments.
- Strong physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to lift, bend, carry, and remain active for long hours in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail, enabling accurate deliveries even under pressure.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact politely and resolve inquiries in a professional manner.
- Exceptional knowledge of traffic laws, local road networks, and vehicle operation procedures.
- In-depth understanding of industry safety regulations and a commitment to following them without shortcuts.
