Onex Holding is seeking an experienced Trading Operator – Oil Products to join its Trading team in Dubai. The role focuses on managing the operational execution of physical oil-product trades, ensuring smooth coordination from deal capture through final close-out.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in physical oil trading operations, cargo movements, vessel operations, documentation, and coordination with multiple teams including Trading, Risk, Finance, Shipping, and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end physical cargo operations for oil-product trades.
• Coordinate cargo nominations, laycans, vessel acceptance, loading, and discharge activities.
• Prepare and monitor invoicing, freight, storage, inspection, port, and other operational costs.
• Handle demurrage, despatch, quality, and quantity claims within contractual timelines.
• Maintain accurate records in CTRM/ETRM systems and complete post-deal reconciliations.
• Support vessel vetting, sanctions screening, KYC, and compliance requirements.
• Provide operational updates to Trading, Risk, Finance, Shipping, and Compliance teams.
Requirements:
• 3–6 years of experience in physical oil-products trading operations or tanker/shipping operations.
• Hands-on experience managing the complete cargo cycle, including:
• Nomination
• Loading
• Voyage
• Discharge
• Documentation
• Invoicing
• Claims
• Experience with oil products, cargo movements, and vessel operations.
• Knowledge of tanker charter parties, Incoterms 2020, laytime, demurrage, and freight claims.
• Understanding of petroleum measurement, testing, and product specifications is an advantage.
• Strong Excel and data-handling skills with experience using CTRM/ETRM and vessel-tracking systems.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Arabic and/or French language skills will be an advantage.
