Role Overview
This role helps health teams across Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal, and Ghana turn supply chain data into practical decisions about forecasting, purchasing, and commodity availability. You will analyze risks across malaria commodities in all four countries and maternal, newborn, and child health commodities in Burkina Faso and Niger, while helping country teams strengthen planning processes and use the Quantification Analytics Tool (QAT) effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and verify country data on forecasts, stock levels, consumption, procurement, shipments, and funding to produce a consolidated quarterly supply plan report.
- Identify and communicate risks such as stockouts, excess inventory, expiries, procurement delays, pipeline gaps, and funding shortfalls through country and regional analyses, dashboards, and reports.
- Track supply chain indicators and emerging trends, working with technical and program colleagues to maintain consistent data and support timely decisions.
- Advise country teams on forecasting, quantification, supply planning, stock status reviews, and procurement planning; facilitate regular meetings to assess availability and risks.
- Support annual quantification exercises, planning workshops, and reviews of forecasting assumptions and supply scenarios.
- Guide QAT users in selecting suitable forecasting methods, comparing scenarios, translating forecasts into supply plans, and monitoring procurement and delivery schedules.
- Help teams use QAT for inventory analysis, shipment planning, expiry management, data reporting, and, where appropriate, interoperability with procurement and logistics systems.
- Coordinate with government counterparts, partners, procurement agents, donors, and country offices; contribute to technical reports, presentations, guidance, training materials, and standard procedures.

- Experience supporting U.S. Government-funded global health programs and planning for malaria commodities. Work in other health areas is an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability, with experience interpreting inventory, logistics, procurement, consumption, and supply chain data.
- Experience facilitating quantification workshops, forecasting reviews, or supply planning exercises.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with other data analysis tools; experience with QAT or comparable forecasting and planning platforms.
- Professional fluency in English and French, with effective writing, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to collaborate across countries and stakeholder groups, travel internationally as required, and hold legal authorization to work in the country of hire.
- Preferred: experience with multi-country or regional programs; familiarity with ARTMIS, LMIS, HMIS, Wambo, or related systems; dashboard or business intelligence tools; data interoperability and API-enabled exchange; work in Sub-Saharan Africa or fragile settings; and strengthening local capacity for lasting supply chain improvements.
