Stock Analyst

Role Overview

City Walk Ltd is hiring a Stock Analyst to keep inventory in step with real sales patterns across its retail network in Kenya. The role sits close to the daily rhythm of stock movement, where accurate analysis, timely replenishment, and clear reporting help stores avoid both empty shelves and excess holdings. By turning inventory data into practical action, this position strengthens the efficiency of the wider supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor stock positions across stores and warehouses, compare them with sales movement, and highlight shortages, overstocks, or unusual variances before they affect availability.
• Build demand forecasts and replenishment plans from sales history, seasonal shifts, and current stock cover, adjusting them as trading conditions change.
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports on stock health, turnover, ageing, and replenishment performance, translating findings into clear recommendations.
• Review pre-replenishment requirements and coordinate stock allocations so branches receive appropriate quantities without inflating network-wide inventory.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, inventory managers, and branch teams to resolve discrepancies, align priorities, and improve stock accuracy.
• Challenge existing warehouse and inventory workflows where they create delays, duplicate effort, or unnecessary cost, and suggest practical improvements.
• Support adherence to City Walk Ltd’s inventory policies and procedures, including documentation, audit trails, and consistent stock-control practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Formal education to diploma or degree level in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or another relevant discipline.
• Two to three years of hands-on experience in inventory control, stock analysis, or a comparable role in retail or warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel for analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with warehouse, inventory, and branch colleagues.
• Detail-oriented approach to stock accuracy, reporting, and compliance with internal inventory rules.
