Role Overview
You will join a cross-functional product team responsible for building, testing, and maintaining software that reaches real users in production. As a generalist developer, you will move between backend services, frontend fixes, and pipeline improvements, depending on where the team needs you most. Your day-to-day work directly impacts product stability and customer satisfaction, since you will both ship new functionality and respond to issues reported by users in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable code for application components and verify your work through thorough unit testing before handing it off for integration.
- Break down stakeholder requirements into technical tasks and implement features that align with both business goals and architectural standards.
- Investigate customer-reported defects, trace them to the root cause, and deliver tested code fixes that resolve the issue without introducing regressions.
- Build and refine automated deployment pipelines that move code through build, test, staging, and production quality gates.
- Work in short Agile iterations, participating in planning, standups, and retrospectives to continuously improve delivery speed and code quality.
- Support the broader software lifecycle by documenting changes, reviewing peer code, and ensuring your contributions are production-ready.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience developing backend components of software applications, including designing, coding, testing, and deploying those components.
- Practical understanding of Agile delivery, including working directly with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into shippable features.
- Proven ability to write unit tests and ensure code meets quality standards before integration into a larger product.
- Experience diagnosing production issues, reproducing customer-reported bugs, and implementing targeted fixes in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tooling, such as automated build scripts, test runners, and deployment pipelines.
- Comfort working across the stack is a plus, including frontend development, DevOps practices, or L3 support engineering responsibilities.
