Role Overview
This position sits at the heart of KKCO East Africa’s digital communications, turning the firm’s technical expertise in tax, audit, finance, and advisory into compelling social media content that builds trust and generates real business opportunities. Day to day, you will plan, shoot, edit, and publish videos across multiple platforms, while also managing the broader content calendar that keeps the firm’s digital channels active, consistent, and engaging. Your work directly supports the firm’s business-development goals by turning complex professional knowledge into accessible stories that attract new clients, strengthen existing relationships, and boost the firm’s profile across East Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and edit both short-form and long-form video content, including interviews, event highlights, webinars, client testimonials, and thought-leadership pieces, adapted for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other relevant channels.
- Create polished video edits with captions, subtitles, transitions, graphics, music, voiceovers, and branding elements, while improving sound, lighting, framing, and overall visual quality of recorded material.
- Repackage webinars, presentations, and long interviews into concise, engaging clips designed for social media audiences.
- Develop and run a social media content calendar aligned with the firm’s business priorities, writing captions, headlines, and calls to action tailored to each platform’s tone and audience.
- Design social media posts, carousels, banners, event announcements, and digital ads, ensuring visual consistency through reusable templates that match the firm’s brand guidelines.
- Support events and training programmes by capturing photos and video, producing pre-event teasers, live coverage, post-event recaps, speaker highlights, and participant testimonials.
- Monitor comments, enquiries, and engagement across platforms, responding or escalating through the right internal channels, and track leads generated from digital activity.
- Prepare monthly performance reports covering reach, impressions, engagement, audience growth, video views, and conversions, and recommend improvements based on analytics and competitor activity.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, Digital Marketing, Media Studies, Film Production, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a closely related field.
- At least two years of hands-on experience in social media management, video editing, or digital content production, ideally within a commercial or organisational setting.
- Strong proficiency in professional video-editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or equivalent tools.
- Proven experience managing corporate or organisational social media accounts, including scheduling, publishing, and audience engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical topics for a broader audience.
- A portfolio that clearly demonstrates your previous video, social media, and digital-content work.
