Role Overview
This social media and communications role combines hands-on content production with audience growth and day-to-day community management. You’ll create content across major social platforms, visit branches to capture video and photography, and help turn enquiries into properly tracked leads while sharing candidates’ progress and success stories.
You’ll also support wider communications with partners and institutions abroad, working alongside the Managing Director. Monthly performance reporting will help the client understand which content reaches people, builds engagement and generates enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create and publish content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, including filming and editing short-form videos at branch locations.
- Develop and test content formats, review platform performance and use the results to guide future posts and channel growth.
- Monitor comments and direct messages, respond appropriately to enquiries from prospective students and candidates, and refer queries when needed.
- Record incoming leads accurately and handle candidate information with care.
- Develop stories about successful placements, examination results and the varied routes candidates take to achieve their goals.
- Write announcements, newsletters, partner updates and website content.
- Assist the Managing Director with communications for employers and institutions overseas.
- Prepare monthly reports covering reach, engagement and enquiries, with clear findings and recommendations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience growing and managing an Instagram or TikTok account to more than 25,000 followers, either for a brand or as a personal account. Be ready to explain the account’s starting point and the actions that contributed to its growth.
- Strong written English and the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
- Practical short-form video production and editing skills, using CapCut or similar software, alongside confident photography skills.
- Good judgment when responding to public complaints and handling sensitive candidate information.
- A qualification in Mass Media, Communication, Journalism, Fine Art or a related discipline.
- Experience with social media scheduling and management platforms such as Meta Business Suite, Buffer or Hootsuite.
- Ability to interpret analytics across social platforms and present performance in useful monthly reports.
- Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to maintain a content calendar while managing daily audience interactions.
- Creativity, initiative and the ability to take ideas from trend spotting and planning through to publication.
- Willingness to travel to branches and, when required, support events or campaigns outside standard working hours.
- German proficiency, experience in education, recruitment or migration, and familiarity with Meta Ads are advantageous.
