Role Overview
This position sits at the intersection of brand strategy, customer expectations, and in-store reality, with the goal of turning shopper insights into tangible sales growth for Haleon’s assigned categories. On a daily basis, you will collaborate with brand marketing, sales, category, and supply chain teams to design promotional plans, deploy point-of-sale materials, and equip in-store experts with the knowledge they need to influence purchasing decisions. Your work directly shapes how products are displayed, priced, and communicated across retail and pharmacy channels, ensuring that every customer interaction aligns with the broader commercial plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Build campaign plans jointly with marketing, sales, supply chain, and controlling teams, ensuring all departments align on objectives, timelines, and investment.
- Lead customer marketing efforts to design shopper campaigns that genuinely address both retailer expectations and end-consumer behaviour.
- Turn category strategy roadmaps from marketing into concrete growth initiatives, then drive their implementation across all relevant channels.
- Develop and maintain promotional guidelines per brand, adapting depth and frequency of discounts by customer and channel while providing ongoing optimisation recommendations.
- Define must-stock lists per brand and channel, including range principles that protect category health and support innovation launches.
- Leverage pricing, promotion, shelving, distribution, and range levers to unlock brand growth and accelerate new product introduction.
- Feed commercial demand drivers into the monthly integrated business planning cycle, collaborating with other functions to improve forecast accuracy.
- Own shopper strategy, in-store priorities, and customer selling stories, plus oversee the deployment of all point-of-sale materials while tracking return on investment and sharing learnings.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the FMCG industry, specifically within shopper marketing or marketing; sales experience is a distinct advantage.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence colleagues, external partners, and cross-functional teams across multiple business lines.
- Proven ability to deliver best-in-class execution in both retail and pharmacy environments, including working effectively with healthcare professionals and in-store experts.
- Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, combining sharp analytical capabilities with creative problem-solving to thrive in a fast-paced commercial setting.
- Field sales experience is a plus, as is a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or a related field.
- Solid project management skills, a commercial and financial grasp, and a track record of identifying opportunities and prioritising initiatives effectively.
