Senior QA Engineer

Role Overview

At Ezra, the Senior QA Engineer will own the quality strategy for a financial platform that spans mobile wallets, telecom interfaces, and core banking. Day to day, you will design and maintain test automation, embed quality gates into delivery pipelines, and work with engineers and product managers to validate complex integrations. Your work directly ensures that customers can rely on secure, accurate, and scalable financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance automated testing frameworks that can validate a broad range of financial services, from payment systems to identity checks.
• Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and delivery pipelines so that every code change is verified automatically.
• Plan and lead integration testing and user acceptance testing across multiple platforms and partners.
• Coordinate with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to schedule and deploy stable software releases.
• Verify that software meets detailed technical specifications and user requirements before it reaches production.
• Create custom tools and test infrastructure to support validation of telecom protocols (USSD, SMSC, IVR), digital wallets, banking backends, and KYC services.
• Partner with architects, technical teams, and product managers to speed up the delivery of new features.
• Continuously improve automation architecture and QA processes to raise engineering standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least four years of hands-on QA automation experience, with a proven track record in a senior automation role.
• Expertise in querying and managing SQL Server, Azure SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Strong grasp of DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment, and release lifecycle management.
• Experience working within Agile software development frameworks.
• Practical knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).
• Understanding of event-driven architecture, API gateways, and service discovery protocols.
• Professional proficiency in English for both verbal and written communication.
• Preferred: Ability to architect test automation infrastructure using Java, Groovy, or Scala.
• Preferred: Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD orchestration tools.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Unix-based environments, especially Linux and macOS command lines.
• Preferred: Shell scripting skills for automation and system administration.
