Job Summary

The Salon Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily salon operations, managing staff, hiring talent, and ensuring excellent customer service and an active social media presence. The role reports directly to the Salon Owner and is central to maintaining a busy, professional, and profitable environment.

Key Responsibilities

Hiring & Talent Sourcing

• Source and interview candidates for salon roles.

• Support the hiring and onboarding process, including training where needed.

Team Management

• Supervise salon staff and daily schedules.

• Train, motivate, and guide the team to deliver consistent service standards.

Social Media

• Ensure posts and content are uploaded regularly on the salon’s social media channels.

• Respond promptly to messages and comments to maintain a strong online presence.

Customer Service

• Handle clients and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

• Ensure a positive experience that encourages repeat visits and referrals.

Operations

• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and smooth daily operations in all areas of the salon.

• Monitor stock, tools, and equipment to ensure nothing disrupts service delivery.

Sales

• Promote salon services to clients and upsell where appropriate.

• Work towards increasing walk‑in traffic and overall sales.

Skills and Experience

• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team.

• Basic social media skills (posting, messaging, engagement).

• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.

• Prior experience successfully running a busy and profitable salon (preferably in Nairobi CBD).

• Demonstrated integrity and a track record of high performance.
