Sales Representative — Healthcare Staffing Platform (Kenya)
A growing healthcare staffing technology company is hiring three Sales Representatives to drive adoption of its platform across Kenya — signing up healthcare professionals on one side and healthcare facilities on the other.
Role Overview
You will be the person who brings a two-sided marketplace to life: getting healthcare professionals registered, verified and ready to work, then getting clinics and hospitals to rely on the platform when they need temporary cover. The work is a mix of phone calls, WhatsApp follow-ups and in-person visits, starting with a concentrated push on professional sign-ups before shifting toward facility acquisition and repeat usage. What you do directly shapes whether the platform has enough available professionals and enough active facilities to be genuinely useful, which is why this role carries real ownership rather than just activity targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Introduce the staffing platform to healthcare professionals, explaining how it works and what it means for their working lives.
- Guide professionals through registration and help them complete their profiles and verification, rather than leaving them at the sign-up stage.
- Chase professionals who have stalled partway through registration or verification until they are fully active on the platform.
- Identify and approach clinics, medical centres, dental practices, hospitals and other facilities, getting in front of owners, administrators and HR decision-makers.
- Demonstrate how the platform helps a facility source temporary healthcare professionals quickly, then assist interested facilities to register.
- Follow up with registered facilities so they post their staffing requirements whenever they need temporary coverage — and keep using the platform afterwards.
- Maintain a consistent rhythm of outbound sales calls, follow-up messages and in-person visits, and keep accurate records of every contact, visit, registration and follow-up.
- Meet the weekly and monthly sign-up and sales targets agreed with your manager, and report back on what professionals and facilities are saying about the platform.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, field sales, business development, recruitment or customer acquisition.
- Genuine confidence approaching and speaking with people you have never met, both on the phone and in person.
- Strong communication and follow-up discipline — you can explain a new service clearly and simply, and you do not let leads go cold.
- Comfortable using WhatsApp, email, a smartphone and basic computer applications to manage your pipeline and records.
- Self-directed and target-driven: able to plan your own schedule, work unsupervised and stay accountable for results.
- Professional, organised and dependable, because professionals and facilities both need to trust you.
- Good spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
- An added advantage: experience in healthcare or medical/pharmaceutical sales, recruitment, insurance, technology sales or comparable field-sales roles.
- Formal qualifications matter less than a proven ability to sell and follow through, though a background in a business, marketing or health-related field is welcome.
