Role Overview
This is a hands-on, target-carrying sales position for someone who can turn technical capability into a compelling commercial case. Working out of Nairobi, you will own the entire revenue cycle for the company's SaaS platforms, IT infrastructure and wider digital solutions — hunting down corporate opportunities, presenting to decision-makers, and steering every deal from first conversation through to signed contract. The role sits at the centre of the company's growth plan, because each contract closed and each account expanded directly widens market reach and deepens long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Study priority industries and build a focused target list of corporate accounts, screening each prospect for genuine fit before committing time and resources to the pursuit.
- Open doors through multi-channel prospecting — cold outreach, structured email sequences, industry networking and referral introductions — and convert that activity into booked meetings.
- Cultivate working relationships with the people who actually sign: business owners, IT leadership, C-suite executives and institutional procurement teams.
- Move opportunities through every stage of the funnel, from initial discovery to contract execution, and re-engage dormant, stalled or previously lost leads using deliberate, structured conversion plays.
- Prepare tailored solution proposals, commercial quotes, formal tender submissions and product demonstrations that speak directly to each client's operating reality.
- Lead consultative negotiations to a close while safeguarding profit margins and commercial terms.
- Grow the existing account base by identifying cross-sell, upsell, renewal and platform expansion openings, and by staying close to how each client's technology needs evolve.
- Maintain live CRM records covering contacts, sales notes, pipeline values and deal stages, then report monthly and quarterly on targets versus actual revenue, pipeline health, sales activity, win/loss ratios and market intelligence.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- Three to five years of progressive B2B sales experience, specifically selling SaaS, IT solutions, digital platforms or cloud services.
- A documented track record of meeting or exceeding assigned quotas and revenue targets.
- Practical, hands-on familiarity with modern CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Zoho, along with pipeline forecasting tools.
- Comfort with consultative selling frameworks — the ability to unpack complex enterprise pain points and position software solutions as the answer.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the professional presence to hold your own in front of C-level stakeholders.
- Self-directed and highly disciplined, able to run long and intricate sales cycles independently.
- Available for a full-time post based in Nairobi, combining office-based coordination with field visits and in-person corporate client engagement.
Why Join
- Remuneration is competitive and structured as a salary plus performance-based commissions, so strong results translate directly into higher earnings.
- The portfolio spans SaaS products, IT infrastructure and digital solutions, giving you a broad and varied offering to take to market.
- The role carries direct exposure to senior executives and institutional buyers, building a valuable professional network across the ICT sector.
- You will work alongside technical implementation and customer support colleagues to deliver smooth client onboarding, rather than closing a deal and walking away.
