Role Overview
This internship places you inside a fast-moving fintech sales unit, where your main focus will be helping the team turn prospects into active users of digital financial tools. Day to day, you will make outbound calls, manage follow-ups, log every interaction in the CRM, and support onboarding so new clients move smoothly from first contact to full activation. Your work matters because steady, well-organised lead generation and customer follow-through directly affect the company’s growth targets and its reputation for reliable service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect new customers using a mix of phone outreach, referrals, social media channels, and approved field activities, then document each touchpoint accurately.
- Support the sales team during campaigns by presenting product benefits in simple, clear language that matches each prospect’s needs.
- Walk new clients through account setup, identity verification, and activation steps, making sure they complete the process without confusion.
- Run basic product demonstrations and route any technical or complex questions to the appropriate specialist rather than guessing or improvising.
- Manage a personal pipeline of leads and scheduled follow-ups, ensuring no prospect is forgotten and that supervisor guidance is followed closely.
- Keep the CRM system and internal spreadsheets current with lead status, call outcomes, and transaction notes so the team can track performance accurately.
- Collect customer feedback during and after onboarding, then pass relevant insights to the supervisor for service or process improvements.
- Participate in roadshows, product activation events, and marketing initiatives, representing the brand professionally and helping with on-the-ground engagement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, IT, Economics, or a related field.
- At least a basic grasp of sales principles, customer relationship management, or customer service practices.
- Genuine curiosity about fintech, mobile payments, digital wallets, or other online financial services.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and web-based platforms; quick to learn new software.
- Strong spoken and written communication, with the ability to explain technical products in everyday language.
- Good listening and persuasion skills, plus a customer-first approach to handling questions and concerns.
- Self-starter who can manage time independently but also thrive in a team-oriented sales environment.
- High integrity and attention to detail, especially when handling customer data and transaction records.
- Any prior internship, attachment, or part-time work in sales or customer service is a plus, but not required.
