Coordinate the daily issuance and safe return of departmental equipment to students and staff
Perform regular inspections of the inventory to identify damage or wear
Submit detailed reports on faulty instruments to the HOD and oversee the scheduling of professional repairs or tuning
Oversee the organization and security of the Music Storeroom, ensuring instruments are stored under optimal environmental conditions to prevent damage
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor Degree in Music, Music Education, or related field
Must possess strong skills and competencies in performing, teaching, and coordinating a wide variety of Western and African musical instruments
Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in performing and teaching a variety of Western and African musical instruments
Must be a registered member of a recognized professional body such as the Music Copyright Society of Kenya or any other relevant professional association in Kenya
Must possess relevant professional qualifications in music performance, instruction, or instrumental training from a recognized institution
