Role Overview
This is a field-facing lending sales position for someone who is comfortable owning a number every month. You will spend your time sourcing and closing loan applications from individuals and businesses, then protecting the quality of that book by keeping portfolio-at-risk within strict limits. The role sits at the front line of the company's growth: the applications you bring in and the credit discipline you apply are what allow the business to expand its lending book profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate new loan applications and drive disbursements to consistently hit the monthly lending target set for your territory.
- Monitor repayments on your assigned portfolio and act early on late or missed instalments so that portfolio-at-risk stays at or below the 8% threshold.
- Build and submit weekly marketing and activation plans, then execute them in the field.
- Open new business relationships through prospecting, referrals, and direct outreach to potential borrowers.
- Cross-sell the company's other products and services to the existing customer base.
- Raise awareness of the company's lending products in your market through on-the-ground promotion and community engagement.
- Keep accurate records of leads, applications, and customer interactions in support of the weekly reporting cycle.
- Work to a documented sales process from first contact through to disbursement, maintaining the standard of service the brand expects.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, ideally in a field or lending environment.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications for reporting, planning, and customer records.
- Experience in import financing is a distinct advantage.
- Willingness to complete the company's training on its marketing plan, credit policies, and operating procedures.
- Strong prospecting instincts, numeracy, and the resilience to work toward measurable monthly outcomes.
