We are supporting a premium residential addiction treatment facility in Abu Dhabi that is looking to hire compassionate and experienced Recovery Specialists to join their multidisciplinary care team. This is a meaningful, lived-experience role focused on supporting individuals through their early stages of recovery in a structured and therapeutic environment.
The role involves working closely with patients undergoing addiction recovery, helping them build stability through routine, guidance, and structured support systems such as 12-step programs. The environment is highly supportive, with a strong clinical team dedicated to long-term recovery outcomes.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who have maintained long-term personal recovery and are passionate about helping others achieve the same transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support patients in early recovery through structured daily routines
• Provide peer support based on personal recovery experience
• Encourage participation in 12-step programs (AA/NA or similar)
• Offer emotional support and motivation during recovery journey
• Work closely with clinical teams and healthcare professionals
• Help patients build coping strategies and long-term stability
Requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years of personal recovery experience
• Active involvement in 12-step recovery programs (AA/NA or similar)
• Experience as Recovery Coach or Peer Support Specialist preferred
• Fluent Arabic speaker required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a sensitive and therapeutic environment
• Strong knowledge of:
• Addiction recovery processes and peer support methods
• 12-step recovery frameworks
• Patient support and emotional guidance techniques
