Description:
Sinyar Electromechanical Works is actively looking to hire a skilled and strategically driven Procurement Engineer to oversee procurement operations for construction materials and equipment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth supply chain operations, maintaining project budgets, and guaranteeing the timely delivery of essential resources for ongoing projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, sourcing high-quality materials, and coordinating closely with project teams to support efficient project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of the UAE construction market and procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for construction materials through detailed technical and commercial assessments
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards
- Monitor supplier performance and track deliveries to avoid delays and ensure smooth project operations
- Coordinate with project management teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budget constraints
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Proven UAE experience in procurement, particularly for high-rise and villa construction projects
- In-depth knowledge of building materials, local vendor networks, and procurement systems
- Strong negotiation, financial planning, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities efficiently under tight deadlines
