Role Overview
This role focuses on transforming how healthcare is delivered by partnering across the entire patient journey, from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up. As a Patient Journey Partner, you will work at the enterprise level, connecting local healthcare ecosystems with global capabilities to create meaningful, lasting impact for patients and the broader community. Day to day, this means building trusted relationships with stakeholders, translating market and disease insights into actionable strategies, and orchestrating cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, patient-centred solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue opportunities to improve the patient journey by analysing local market dynamics, disease-area trends, and patient needs across the care pathway.
- Build and nurture strong partnerships with healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and other ecosystem stakeholders to co-create value and drive systemic change.
- Translate complex medical, market access, and commercial insights into clear, executable strategies that balance local priorities with Roche’s broader enterprise objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams through agile ways of working, ensuring plans are executed effectively and adjusted quickly as new insights emerge.
- Leverage digital tools, AI, and omnichannel approaches to engage stakeholders and deliver solutions that are both scalable and personalised.
- Actively share knowledge and learnings across the global network, scaling successful initiatives while helping unblock or stop activities that do not create value.
- Serve as a trusted coach and consultant to internal and external partners, asking the right questions to uncover underlying needs and unlock new possibilities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical marketing, brand management, or a similar commercial role within the healthcare industry.
- University degree in science, medical, or a related field; an advanced degree in life sciences or an MBA is preferred.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated expertise in commercialisation, medical affairs, and customer experience excellence.
- Proven ability to formulate strategies from market and disease insights and orchestrate cross-functional teams to execute them seamlessly.
- Deep experience partnering with patient advocacy groups and engaging disease-area experts is highly desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and coaching skills, including the ability to deeply listen, question, and understand different perspectives.
- Entrepreneurial and growth mindset with a track record of learning quickly, taking calculated risks, and experimenting with new approaches.
- Comfort with ambiguity, self-directed working style, and a genuine commitment to acting with integrity, openness, and honesty.
- Proficiency in English is strongly preferred to enable smooth collaboration across the global Roche enterprise.
