Job Title: Pastry & Bakery Instructor
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry & Bakery Instructor to join our culinary faculty. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality training in pastry and bakery production, combining theoretical knowledge with practical expertise to prepare students for careers in the food industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical and theoretical lessons in pastry and bakery production.
- Demonstrate modern baking and confectionery techniques to students.
- Prepare training schedules, lesson plans, and learner assessments to ensure structured learning.
- Supervise practical production and maintain quality standards in all outputs.
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and occupational safety compliance in the kitchen and classroom.
- Maintain bakery equipment and inventory to support seamless operations.
- Support student mentorship and industrial attachment for real-world experience.
- Participate in curriculum development and institutional activities to enhance program quality.
Qualification Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Pastry & Bakery, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Professional pastry certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum three (3) years’ practical industry and/or teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of bakery production and food safety standards.
- Good communication and ICT skills to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
