Operations Manager (Outdoor Advertising)

Role Overview

This role manages the daily field operation of an outdoor advertising network, coordinating crews, vehicles, equipment, site access and billboard work across multiple locations. By keeping installations safe, well maintained and accurately documented, the Operations Manager supports reliable client delivery and efficient use of operational resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan daily work schedules and assign field teams, vehicles and equipment to meet installation, removal and maintenance needs.
• Supervise billboard installation and removal campaigns, checking that work meets required quality standards.
• Arrange daytime and nighttime photography of completed work for client updates and records.
• Maintain accurate records of billboard occupancy, site maintenance, permit expiry dates and utility payment deadlines; prepare monthly reports on schedule.
• Assess prospective sites for technical suitability, safety and practical access, and coordinate required permits with county authorities and relevant airport agencies, including KAA/JKIA.
• Work with Transport and Procurement to ensure crews, vehicles and tools reach sites when needed.
• Manage routine and urgent structural and electrical maintenance, while controlling avoidable costs such as excess fuel use, idle time and repeat visits.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental procedures, including PPE use and toolbox talks, and coordinate field requirements with Sales, Finance, Printing and Signage teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management or a related field.
• At least five years’ experience in operations management, preferably in outdoor advertising or field services.
• Experience coordinating work across multiple sites, scheduling projects and leading field teams.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate permits and manage site access requirements.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and digital tools for tracking schedules, maintenance and operational records.
