Role Overview
As an Operations Executive with Air & Sea Logistics LLC in Dubai, you will own shipments end to end — from the moment a booking is confirmed through customs release and final delivery to the consignee. The role sits at the centre of daily freight movement, where your coordination keeps air and sea consignments on schedule and customers informed. Success here directly protects service levels: when documentation, declarations, and carrier handoffs are handled cleanly, the whole operation moves faster and clients stay confident.
Key Responsibilities
- Run day-to-day air and sea freight operations across the full shipment lifecycle, from booking confirmation through to delivery at destination.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on customs declarations through Dubai Trade, resolving discrepancies or holds before they delay release.
- Track multiple active shipments simultaneously, flagging delays and escalating issues to the right carrier, agent, or authority.
- Liaise daily with customers, shipping lines, airlines, customs authorities, and internal colleagues to keep every consignment aligned.
- Maintain complete and accurate shipment files, operational records, and supporting documentation for each job.
- Handle rate confirmations, job costing entries, and status updates so billing and reporting reflect what actually happened on the shipment.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries on shipment status, and provide clear updates without waiting to be asked.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
- Practical experience preparing Dubai Trade customs declarations.
- Solid working knowledge of air freight operations, sea freight operations, and customs clearance procedures.
- Familiarity with Calagi.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to coordinate across customers and authorities.
- Proven ability to manage several shipments independently and prioritise under time pressure.
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation, with accuracy as a habit rather than an afterthought.
What We Offer / Why Join
You will join an expanding operations team in Dubai, working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where freight moves daily and no two shifts look the same. This is a role for someone who wants real ownership of shipments and direct exposure to carriers, customs, and clients from the outset.
