Dr. Rekhi started off his medical practice in Diani in a clinic and soon realized the urgent need for a hospital in the region. Prior to the establishment of Diani Beach Hospital patients often had to drive to Mombasa, a good 35 Kilometers away for needs that could not be met by the existing facilities. Over the past 2 Decades Diani Beach Hospital has not only established itself firmly but also remains the finest and most experienced private hospital in the South Coast of Kenya and a leading private hospital in Kenya. From our humble origins with just 8 beds, today we have morphed into the region’s biggest private hospital with a bed capacity of 80 beds and a satellite clinic network currently present in Likoni, Ukunda and Kwale town. • Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care for both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, and treatment outcomes accurately and promptly in medical records.
  • Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care measures.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, interns, and students during clinical rounds and case discussions.
  • Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and continuous professional development activities to uphold quality standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A recognised medical degree from an accredited institution, complemented by a relevant postgraduate specialist qualification in your field.
  • Valid registration and a current practising licence issued by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
  • Demonstrated clinical competence, sound judgement, and a consistently professional and ethical approach to patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • A clear commitment to patient-centred care, including empathy, confidentiality, and respect for patient autonomy.
  • Ability to handle complex or high-pressure clinical situations with composure and evidence-based reasoning.
