Job Description

Role Overview

The MRV Country Coordinator leads the planning and delivery of monitoring, reporting and verification work across Kenya, coordinating several field-based studies at once. Working with the Regional MRV Manager and teams across the business, this role turns project plans into reliable field operations, with a focus on trustworthy data, effective use of resources and delivery to schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate field data collection across multiple locations, providing close support to team leaders and enumerators.
  • Guide teams through feasibility assessments, baseline and carbon-use studies, and kitchen performance tests.
  • Use mobile data-collection tools to monitor submissions, check records for accuracy and completeness, and arrange corrections where needed.
  • Apply standard procedures, checklists and review steps to strengthen consistency in data collection and analysis.
  • Manage concurrent MRV projects by maintaining a shared schedule, tracking milestones and coordinating staff and other resources.
  • Support recruitment, mobilisation and training of enumerators, tailoring guidance to the needs and intended outcomes of each study.
  • Coach field teams on budget awareness and responsible use of project resources, and address local delivery challenges while escalating significant risks to the Regional MRV Manager.
  • Work with other teams and departments to keep MRV activities aligned with wider business priorities and project targets.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience leading or managing field teams, ideally in data collection, monitoring and evaluation, sales or a related operational setting.
  • Practical experience collecting data with Kobo or comparable mobile platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for basic data review and analysis.
  • Experience coordinating projects and teams working across multiple locations.
  • Process audit or comparable quality-checking experience, with the ability to identify errors and follow through on corrective action.
  • Strong field monitoring and evaluation skills, including the ability to track qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Clear communication and training skills, sound judgement, problem-solving ability and a collaborative approach to team leadership.
