Medical Receptionist

Role Overview

As the first point of contact for patients, the Medical Receptionist keeps clinic visits organized from arrival through check-out. You will manage appointments and records, handle routine administrative and payment matters, and coordinate with clinical colleagues so patients receive clear, courteous support throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients, guide them through arrival procedures, and provide professional front-desk assistance.
• Arrange appointments, register patients, and manage check-in and check-out.
• Respond to calls, emails, and patient questions promptly and courteously.
• Update patient files and related documentation accurately, protecting confidential information.
• Coordinate schedules and day-to-day information with doctors, nurses, and other clinic staff.
• Assist with billing, payment processing, and insurance administration.
• Use the clinic’s scheduling tools and computer systems to support efficient reception operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous work as a medical or clinic receptionist is preferred; experience in a UAE healthcare setting is an advantage.
• Strong spoken and written English; additional language skills are beneficial.
• Clear communication and a patient-focused manner when dealing with visitors and callers.
• Organized, able to manage competing tasks, and attentive to detail.
• Familiarity with appointment scheduling, patient registration, and medical record handling.
• Working knowledge of billing processes and insurance coordination.
• Comfort using basic computer applications and reception or appointment-management systems.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related discipline is listed as an estimated qualification.
