Role Overview
The Mechanical Site Engineer will guide day-to-day mechanical installation work on construction sites, with a focus on HVAC and wider MEP systems. By coordinating crews, drawings, inspections, and project teams, this role helps ensure the installations meet required quality and safety standards and are ready for testing and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and other mechanical and MEP systems.
- Coordinate site work with project teams, using approved technical drawings and schedules to plan activities.
- Track installation progress, identify site constraints, and work with relevant teams to resolve technical or coordination issues.
- Inspect completed work for compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
- Support health and safety compliance during mechanical site activities.
- Coordinate mechanical testing, commissioning, inspections, and handover tasks.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience supervising mechanical project execution and installation work on site.
- Working knowledge of HVAC and MEP systems, including mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical technical drawings.
- Understanding of site coordination, quality control, and health and safety requirements.
- Good coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow work through to completion.
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is indicated as an estimated qualification.
