Role Overview
This is a hands-on, camera-first position for someone who wants to be the recognisable voice and face of a brand's day-to-day output. You will move constantly between planning, shooting, editing and publishing — capturing products, people and live moments, then shaping that material into short-form video that keeps the feed active and interesting. The work sits at the front line of how the brand is perceived, so speed, consistency and a genuine creative point of view all carry equal weight.
Key Responsibilities
- Product photography and videography: set up lighting, framing and angles to capture products in ways that look sharp on both a phone screen and a desktop page.
- Short-form video production: concept, film and publish Reels and other vertical clips built around strong opening hooks and tight pacing.
- End-to-end editing: cut, colour-correct, add captions, sound design and music, then export in the correct formats for each platform.
- Always-on social content: keep a steady pipeline of posts flowing, adapting ideas to fit the tone and audience of each channel.
- Event and activation coverage: attend launches, pop-ups and similar moments to document them as they happen, often delivering edits the same day or next day.
- Brand storytelling: find the human angle behind products and announcements, and translate it into narratives viewers actually want to watch.
- On-camera and voice-over work: present to camera, host quick segments and record voice tracks when a piece needs a person rather than text.
- Creative planning: contribute ideas in brainstorm sessions, build simple content calendars and suggest formats worth testing next.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of relevant experience creating video or social content, whether in-house, at an agency, in-house at a brand, or through freelance work.
- Confident with editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus fast mobile editing tools for quick turnarounds.
- Comfortable in front of the lens and behind a microphone — you do not need to be a trained presenter, but you should be natural and clear on camera.
- Solid grasp of composition, lighting and framing, particularly for product shots and small-scale studio setups.
- Working knowledge of what makes short-form video perform: aspect ratios, captioning, thumb-stopping first seconds and platform-specific quirks.
- Ability to juggle several briefs at once, hit deadlines and turn around edits quickly without losing quality.
- A showreel or portfolio that demonstrates range across photography, editing and on-camera work.
- Degree or diploma in film, media, communications, design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
