BI Analyst

Role Overview

In this role, you will turn product, market, customer, and financial data into clear guidance for business decisions. Your analysis will help leadership assess performance, plan for growth, and communicate the organisation’s strategy to senior stakeholders and potential investors, in support of its financial inclusion mission in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine product performance, market categories, and customer segments to identify trends and inform strategic priorities.
• Strengthen data governance by checking data quality and maintaining reliable, consistent reporting.
• Create exception and compliance reports that highlight anomalies, risks, or areas requiring follow-up.
• Develop flexible product plans, forecasts, and financial models covering profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow.
• Bring together primary and secondary research to produce useful insights into customer needs and behaviour.
• Build clear, persuasive presentations that explain analysis and recommendations to executives, board members, and prospective investors.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in data analysis or product management.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, economics, or a related discipline; an MBA is an advantage.
• GCP certification is required.
• Advanced ability to build dynamic financial models in Excel and work with forecasting and product-planning data.
• Strong data visualisation skills and proficiency in designing polished PowerPoint presentations.
• Careful numerical judgement, analytical rigour, initiative, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
• Interest in contributing to a social mission, particularly financial inclusion.
