Role Overview
This internship places you inside a working finance and business environment, where you will support daily accounting operations while learning how the organisation functions end to end. You will work closely with experienced professionals on real tasks, from processing financial information to helping prepare reports that inform decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Support the preparation and reconciliation of accounts, ensuring figures are correct and discrepancies are flagged promptly.
- Help compile reports, spreadsheets, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in data entry, document filing, and digital record management to keep workflows organised and accessible.
- Contribute to ongoing projects by conducting research, analysing basic financial data, and summarising findings for the team.
- Liaise with colleagues across departments to gather information needed for financial processing or reporting activities.
- Observe and support senior staff during audits, budgeting cycles, or compliance exercises to learn professional standards in action.
- Take ownership of assigned administrative and operational tasks, managing multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree or diploma in Accounts, Finance, Business, or a related recognised field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external contacts.
- Solid analytical and organisational abilities, enabling you to handle numerical data, spot errors, and manage competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in common computer applications and digital tools; comfort with spreadsheets, email, and web-based platforms is essential.
- High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the resilience to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
